Alan Schoor — consultant
Alan Schoor is an accomplished senior executive with broad experience in the not-for-profit, government, and academic sectors. Over the course of his distinguished career he has provided operational leadership for the City of New York’s Department of General Services and Honeywell Inc., for JBFCS — a $150 million JCAHO certified not-for-profit behavioral health provider — and for the Touro College and University System, where he served as Senior Vice President for Operations and Administration. Most recently, Alan led the Met Council on Jewish Poverty as its Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director, where he was responsible for revitalizing the agency following fraud by prior senior management. Alan brings substantive expertise in diverse areas including finance, fund raising, human resources, real estate, information systems, compliance and security — and he offers exceptional analytical and communication skills along with his strong technical background. Alan earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from City College of New York, an MBA from Bernard Baruch College and has completed the Columbia University Executive Leadership Program.
